Agia Marina Review

Review of Agia Marina

Agia Marina is a wonderful area situated 9 km, far from Chania at the middle of a long beach, which extends from Kato Stalos to Kolymbari, west of Chania. The thin golden sand of this beach and the trees along the seafront create an exotic setting. It is worth seeing the small church of Agia Marina in the village. Looking north, 400 m to the sea, is the island of Agii Theodori (Saint Theodore). If you wish to see the famous kri-kri, the Cretan wild goat, you should visit this tiny island. An added-value attraction is also the cave Nerospilia (“water cave” in Greek), just 1,5 km to the South. Lodging is plenty in Agia Marina. A lot of hotels of all categories are available for visitors. Don’t worry about nutrition: a wide range of taverns and restaurants, cafes and bars are ready to offer their delicacies. Last but not least, Agia Marina is a tourist resort that has an intense nightlife.
